The What

Use Cases

All scans are done with a mobile metrology-grade scanner to capture every curve, dent, and detail. Accuracy down to ±0.0007 inches (0.02mm) depending on your needs.

Small gadget, engine bay, vehicle, or large furniture, we can scan it. For larger projects that can’t be moved, I can come to you with a mobile setup.

Whether you’re a maker wanting to tweak a product design, an artist preserving a sculpture digitally, a fab shop designing a part, or a home tinkerer replacing a broken appliance part – 3D scanning is the first step to make it happen.

The How

1. Discuss

First, send over an image of the object that you'd like to be 3D scanned. We'll discuss your project and what your specific needs are. Things like tolerances, output formats, and other desired services like 3D Printing.

2. Quote

3. Dropoff

4. Scan

After we get an idea of your project requirements, we'll send over a estimate of how much it'll cost. 3D laser scanning services starts around $150.

5. Delivery

You can ship over the object that you like to be 3D scanned. Or I can come to you to do the scanning if that makes more sense. Shipping would be to Columbia, SC.

With the the object in hand, it will take 4-5 days depending on the complexity of the project. The process starts with 3D scanning, then ends with extensive CAD modeling to ensure the model matches reality as well as your needs.

With the model now finished, it is ready for you to receive. You will get both an interactive online digital rendering, as well as the physical CAD model files in multiple formats.
